Join us for an in-person discussion with artist Hayun Surl and Director Kevin Ivester as they explore Surl’s current Project Space exhibition, Guardians, on view through February 21.

Hayun Surl is a Korean-born ceramic artist who earned his MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University. Before moving to the United States, Surl completed a two-year apprenticeship in traditional Korean pottery and kiln design. His work explores the intersection of Eastern and Western techniques and philosophies and is deeply informed by his background in architectural interior design.
