Inspired by physics and philosophy, Alicia Eggert creates sculptures that give material form to language, time, and the human experience. Best known for her text-based neon works, she transforms familiar forms of commercial signage into meditations on memory, mortality, and social responsibility. In recent years, her practice has become increasingly engaged with political activism, including OURs (2022), a collaboration with Planned Parenthood installed in front of the U.S. Supreme Court that was later featured in Gagosian Quarterly for its contribution to conversations around reproductive justice.
